RCN Launches Spanish Language Channel ‘Tele El Salvador’

RCN Corporation has launched Spanish-language channel ‘Tele El Salvador’ to its Hispanic programming lineup. Tele El Salvador produced by El Salvador delivers programming that includes live coverage of news, politics, sports, and entertainment and special events from that nation.

Tele El Salvador will be available on RCN channel 828 in Lehigh Valley, PA and channel 596 in all other RCN markets. Tele El Salvador is included in all of RCN’s Hispanic programming packages: MiVision Plus, MiVision Lite and El Paqueton.

RCN’s Strategic External Affairs & Programming Senior Vice President Richard Ramlall, said “RCN strives to offer content that our subscribers will find compelling. As a leading provider of international programming, we are excited to launch Tele El Salvador because of its news and sports coverage, in addition to its highly-rated programming, giving our customers the ability to stay connected to their home country.”

Tele El Salvador’s Executive Vice President Marcos A. Jorge, said “Tele El Salvador was established last year to serve the 2.5 million Salvadorians living in the U.S., and it is truly a signal without borders. We are pleased to announce our affiliation with RCN and to offer their subscribers the best programming straight from El Salvador.”
