Paramount Pictures To Distribute Marvel Studios’ Movies Worldwide

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have signed an agreement to distribute Marvel’s next five movies. This deal will allow Marvel Studios movies to be distributed through local distribution firms in Japan, Germany, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Paramount Pictures will start distributing “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “The First Avenger: Captain America” and The Avengers” from May 7, 2010.

Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures said “Coming off of Iron Man’s incredible success this summer, we could not be more excited about extending our relationship with Marvel, Marvel’s iconic brand, its popular characters and its proven ability to create compelling and visually spellbinding films complement Paramount’s great history of filmmaking. We look forward to a long and successful run together.”
