EchoStar To Utilize SES Capacity To Expand in Mexico and The U.S.

The world’s leading provider of satellite communication and transmission services SES S.A has entered a multi-year agreement with EchoStar Corporation to provide satellite capacity. This agreement will allow Dish Mexico to utilize the capacity of a new satellite QuetzSat-1 to deliver direct-to-home services in Mexico and also the capacity will be used to expand Dish’s satellite services in The U.S.

Romain Bausch, President and CEO of SES said “This long-term agreement exemplifies our strategy to develop wholesale DTH platforms to maximize the range of entertainment and information services available to homes in markets around the world, it also demonstrates our commitment to develop prime DTH spectrum in the Americas.”
