DirecTV To Launch UTV Movie Channel in 2009

DirecTV and UTV Global Broadcasting have reached an agreement to broadcast UTV Movie Channel in The US. UTV has launched the Movie channel in India in February 2008 and is available in many cities as a leading satellite channel in India.

UTV’s agreement with DirecTV will allow the broadcaster to launch its services in the US markets in 2009. The Movie Channel will provide Hindi movies 24 hours a day to the DirecTV South Asian programming subscribers.

DirecTV has lined up following movies in Hindi for its subscribers in 2009 through the UTV Movie Channel.

DirecTV has partnered with UTV Global Broadcasting to bring quality Hindi movies to the South Asian communities settled in US. The satcaster has shown great interest in adding more global programming channels to its subscribers.
