DirecTV is rushing with local high-definition channel launch, recently the satcaster has added local HD in cities. Now Savannah subscribers will be treated with local HD channels. DirecTV has added following local HD broadcast for subscribers in Savannah, Georgia.:
WJCL/ABC
WTOC/CBS and
WSAV/NBC
DirecTV subscribers in Savannah must have an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish to receive local HD programming. With launch of local HD in Savannah, the satcaster has launched HD broadcast channels in 98 cities, representing more than 83 percent of U.S. TV households. DirecTV also have plans to end the year with launch of local HD’s in 121 cities covering 88 percent of U.S. TV households.
