Cox Launches 13 New High-Definition channels in Northern Virginia

Cox Communications has launched 13 new high-definition channels to its subscribers in Northern Virginia markets. Cox presently have 78 HD channels and offers 365 HD choices to its subscribers in Northern
Virginia. Following are the new HD channels included:

• ABC Family HD
• BBC America HD
• BET HD
• Disney HD
• Disney XD HD
• Encore HD
• HBO2 HD
• Investigation Discovery HD
• More Max HD
• MSNBC HD
• Starz Edge HD
• Tennis Channel HD and
  
• TMC HD

Janet Barnard, senior vice president and general manager for Cox Northern Virginia, said “We’re giving customers more of the crystal clear, high-quality HD programming they really want, from movies to sports, local channels and even premium channels. And with no HD programming access fee like many other companies charge, Cox makes it affordable to get HD.”
