Bloomberg Financial and Cox Business have presented an educational forum for small business owners entitled “Small Business: Flourishing in Tough Economic Times” on Oct.1 at the Johnson & Wales University Westminster Technology Conference Center. The forum featured guest speaker Jane Applegate, an award-winning columnist on small business management and the author of four books about entrepreneurial success, including 201 Great Ideas for Your Small Business. Applegate is known for her comparison of business owners to plate spinners in a circus: as soon as one plate is spinning in the air, another crash to the floor.
