Comcast Launches High-Speed Internet Service in New Castle

Comcast has completed its advanced fiber-optic network upgrade and has launched 50 Mbps Internet service to New Castle, Delaware subscribers. This upgrade will facilitate the subscribers with download speeds up to 15 Mbps with no additional cost.

Amy Smith, senior vice president of Comcast’s Freedom Region said “Wideband is a game-changer. With wideband running over our next-generation fiber-optic network, we can greatly enhance our customers’ online experience immediately. And these speeds are only a preview of what’s to come—wideband will provide the capability of delivering dramatically faster speeds in excess of 160 Mbps in the future.”
