Big Ten Network Stuck Deal With Star Choice And Shaw Cable

Big Ten Network has announced that it has signed a carriage deal with Star Choice and Shaw Cable. Big Ten Network has already entered a distribution agreement with AT&T U-Verse, Charter Communications, Comcast, DIRECTV, DISH Network, Insight Communications, Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, RCN, Service Electric, Verizon FiOS and more than 250 cable operators across the country.

Shaw Cable will carry Big Ten Network on its digital-basic service in standard definition and HD simulcast will be available on Shaw’s HD Plus package.

The Big Ten Network is offered in SD in More Sports” package and in HD can be seen on Star Choice’s HD Sports package.

Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman said “We’re thrilled that Shaw Cable and Star Choice have joined the long and growing list of distribution partners offering the Big Ten Network to their customers, we’ve heard from Big Ten fans and alumni in Canada who want to follow their favorite teams, especially as we head into the Big Ten Basketball tournaments.”
